Health and Safety Trainers (Senior Level – Markham and Ottawa)

REA has immediate opportunities for experienced health and safety trainers at our Markham and Ottawa offices. This position involves design, development, enhancement, organization and delivery of a variety of health and safety training courses, across a variety of subject areas and workplace audiences, for REA clients nationwide and in the Caribbean. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years career experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher (ideally in an education or health and safety-related field), at least 500 hours teaching time in the past five years, a relevant health and safety professional designation (e.g. CRSP, CSP, CIH, ROH, CCPE, etc.), a driver’s license, and the ability to travel. Candidates for the Ottawa office position must have a high level of spoken and written fluency in English, and strong spoken fluency in French. Compensation is $85,000+ p.a., commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a bonus system.


Construction Safety Specialists (Intermediate or Senior Level – Markham)

REA has immediate opportunities for experienced construction safety specialists at our Markham office. This position involves delivery of a variety of construction project safety services to REA clients on small and large projects, primarily in southern Ontario. Candidates should be skilled and experienced in pre-project hazard and risk assessment, development of project safety plans, review and evaluation of contractor health and safety programs and plans, formulation of project safety monitoring strategies, conduct of on-site health and safety inspections, site intervention, and reporting. Strong interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills are essential. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years career experience, a community college diploma or university degree in health and safety or civil engineering, significant experience in construction workplaces, a relevant health and safety professional designation (e.g. CRSP, CSP, CIH, ROH, CCPE, etc.), and a driver’s license. Compensation starts at $65,000+ p.a. for the intermediate position and $85,000+ p.a. for the senior position, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a bonus system.


Professional Engineer - Safety (Intermediate or Senior Level – Markham)

REA has an immediate opportunity for a professional engineer with health and safety experience at our Markham office. We are specifically seeking an individual experienced in structural analysis, with a disciplinary background in civil, structural or mechanical. The position involves providing a variety of professional engineering services relating to health and safety regulatory and standards compliance for REA clients, including: pre-start health and safety reviews on equipment and structures, advanced structural engineering design analysis, and code compliance reviews. Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills are essential; experience/familiarity in presenting training course materials an asset. Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years career experience in a health and safety practice, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a P.Eng. designation, and a driver’s license. Frequent vehicle travel throughout southern Ontario is required, as well as periodic travel nationwide. Compensation starts at $65,000+ p.a. for the intermediate position and $85,000+ p.a. for the senior position, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a bonus system.


Administration

Manager of Administration and Accountant

REA has an immediate opportunity for a Manager of Administration and Accountant at our Markham office. This individual will have overall responsibility for administrative operations, support to consultants, supervision of administrative staff, and accounting operations (including direct performance of certain bookkeeping and accounting functions). The successful candidate will be mature and self-directed, possess strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills, and have at least 7 years career experience demonstrating success in a prior similar role. A community college diploma or university degree in a relevant business or accounting discipline is required. Compensation for this position starts at $60,000 p.a. plus benefits, commensurate with experience.
